Steve Beaman,
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Beaman is Chairman & Chief Executive of The McGraw Capital Partners.  With his extensive background in finance, business and entrepreneurship, he is responsible for strategy, finance and investor development.  He works closely with John Kozey on finding deals that meet the company’s stringent needs.  Mr. Beaman is also Chairman of The McGraw Council, Inc., a business think-tank and private equity company investing in companies that serve the independent business community.

In 1991, Mr. Beaman co-founded Chicago Investment Analytics, Inc., a provider of quantitative equity research. In 2000, Chicago Investment

    Analytics was sold to Charles Schwab & Co. where it became the foundation of Schwab’s equity advice offering. Since 2003, Mr. Beaman has been engaged in private equity providing funding for several different companies. He is the author of “The Path to Prosperity” a 2 volume, 24 lesson audio-library on financial literacy and hosted his own radio show. Mr. Beaman is President & Chief Executive of Q-Financial, Inc. (d/b/a/ The McGraw Council). In that capacity he oversees the holdings of the council including McGraw Capital Partners; The Money Stop, LLC and JobFormance, LLC.

John Kozey CFA,
Chief Operating Officer

    John has been in the financial services industry since 1981, spending most of his time in institutional sales, equity derivatives trading and investment analytics. After graduating from Wilkes University, magna cum laude, with dual majors in computer science and economics, and Cornell University’s Johnson School of Business with an MBA in finance, he joined Merrill Lynch as an institutional sales-trader.​

    Spending most of his career in sales, sales management and as a research analyst, he has authored thousands of analytical pieces, including factor models, asset allocation and stock selection. He has worked with financial technology startups and with some of the largest financial analytics firms, including Thomson Financial, and served as director of research for a private Swiss family office. As COO of McGraw Capital Partners, he’s responsible for business development and creating a structured, sustainable and repeatable infrastructure. John is also a member of the Syosette Business Advisory Board.
